Support farmers and strengthen rural livelihoods

Agriculture can contribute to household livelihoods, local markets and food security. The manifesto proposes practical support for farmers and rural producers, subject to resources and implementation capacity.

  • Work towards access to improved seeds, farming tools and agricultural inputs.

  • Promote appropriate mechanisation, irrigation and extension support.

  • Strengthen farmers’ cooperatives and livestock services.
