Roads & connectivity
Connecting communities to services and markets
Road access affects healthcare, education, trade and the movement of people and goods. The manifesto proposes a phased approach to road maintenance, beginning with two initial maintenance units.
What this priority proposes
Propose initial road-maintenance units for Greater Kapoeta and Greater Torit.
Progressively expand road-maintenance capacity to other counties as resources allow.
Prioritise connectivity that supports communities, markets and access to essential services.
Better-maintained roads that connect people, support local markets and improve access to public services.
The two initial units and later county expansion are proposals, not a claim that units have already been established or funded.
Responsible implementation: These are manifesto proposals, not confirmation of secured funding or completed projects. Delivery depends on resources, state budget decisions, national support, legal authority and development partnerships.
