Peace & security
A safer Eastern Equatoria for every citizen
Peace and security are essential for families to live, farmers to work, children to learn and communities to travel and trade without fear. The manifesto proposes strengthening community-level peacebuilding and coordination with the relevant institutions.
What this priority proposes
Support community peacebuilding and early-warning mechanisms.
Address cattle raiding, communal violence and the circulation of illegal small arms through lawful coordination.
Work with security agencies, traditional leaders, women, youth and religious leaders to protect civilians and prevent escalation.
A state where communities can pursue their daily lives in safety, and where disputes are addressed through dialogue, lawful institutions and timely action.
Responsible implementation: These are manifesto proposals, not confirmation of secured funding or completed projects. Delivery depends on resources, state budget decisions, national support, legal authority and development partnerships.
